Thank you for joining the Talk U2 forums!
Please take the following rules into consideration as you use these forums:
This is a place for public discussion:
The aim here is for enjoyable discussion held in a mature, open environment. Please treat this discussion forum with the same respect you would a public park for instance as it too is a shared community resource ’ a place to mix with people, with a main shared interest of U2 through ongoing conversation.
These are not hard and fast rules, and we don't want a forum that is rule heavy - they are merely aids to the human judgment that we know the people in our community have. Use these guidelines to help keep this an enjoyable, thought provoking, well-lighted place where respect is shown to all for public discourse.
Treat other members respectfully/with due respect. This should go without saying, but treat others like you would like to be treated!
Please be considerate in language you use on the forum. some of our members may be younger than others or more sensitive to the use of 'bad language' - people here may come from very different backgrounds and cultures and it can be tricky when these backgrounds and cultures mix in a community like this. Swearing is not completely banned, or filtered just do not swear unnecessarily, and only use minor words - again use your judgement.
Please do not post inappropriate material. I think everyone understands what we mean by this. The policy goes that if you would not feel comfortable viewing it at work for example then don't post it.
We think these rules are clear, and easy to follow. These are only in place to ensure our community is a fun place to be, and there is a comfortable atmosphere for all.
If there are problems or if you feel uncomfortable with something that happens - contact us and we will work with you to resolve it.
These rules are not long or wordy on purpose - simply because we don't want a focus on rules and moderation and bans etc....we want a focus on good discourse and an enjoyable community - let's all work together in our community to make it a community we can all be proud of and where everyone is welcome and everyone enjoys it.
Thanks,
The Talk U2 Staff
